Matthew Newman oversees People Services at Paladina Health ensuring teammates create and work in an engaging environment that leads to providing the best patient experience in the direct primary care industry.
Matthew brings over 16 years of professional Human Resources leadership to Paladina Health. Before joining, he spent the last 12 years at IBM in executive roles including an HR Business Partner in the Global Business Services unit and as the HR Executive for IBM’s acquisition and divestiture practice focusing on transactions and change management. In addition, he has worked in the executive compensation and HR strategy groups. Prior to IBM, Matthew was the HR Generalist at a new non-union manufacturing facility with Graphic Packaging International, where he more than doubled the work force in 2 years while ensuring the training, safety, policies and culture enabled the team to meet product demands. Prior to Graphic Packaging, he was the HR Manager at a unionized manufacturing facility with Printpack where he managed the labor environment and union negotiations.
With his global professional background in people services and personal connection to health care, Matthew brings creativity, energy, and passion that will help align the people strategy with our mission at Paladina Health.
Matthew holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BA in Economics from Union College (NY). In his spare time, he enjoys seeing live music and playing the bass guitar as well as skiing, biking, camping and life in the Rocky Mountains with his wife Heather, son Zachary and daughter Liza.
